What each session covers
Session 1
Time, compounding, and goals
How growth accumulates, what a time horizon changes, and translating a vague ambition into a dated, costed goal.
Session 2
What the vehicles are
Savings vehicles, brokerage accounts, employer retirement plans and matching, index funds versus individual holdings — described for understanding, not selection.
Session 3
Risk, diversification, and costs
Why prices move, what diversification does and does not protect against, how fees and expense ratios compound too, and how to read a simple fund summary.
Session 4
Income creation and staying safe
Side income and small-business basics, separating business and personal money, plus a clear-eyed look at hype cycles, pressure selling, and common investment scams.
By the end you will be able to
- Explain compound growth and the effect of starting early
- Describe common vehicles in plain terms, including index funds and retirement accounts
- Relate risk, time horizon, and diversification to a stated goal
- Identify fees and costs that reduce long-term returns

- Write a long-term goal with a timeline and a funding plan
What's included
- A goal-and-timeline planning sheet
