Youth and minor participation
Because Ascend Youth Initiative serves young people, additional provisions apply. Our programs and materials are intended for youth and young adults ages 16–26. Participants under the age of 18 may take part only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Parental/guardian consent: where a participant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before the participant registers for or attends a program, workshop, or event.
- Media and photo releases: photographs, video, or audio captured at programs or events are used only with a signed media release; for minors, the release must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Program liability: participation in programs and events may be subject to a participation agreement and liability waiver, signed by the participant or, for minors, by a parent or legal guardian.
